It’s raining. Está lloviendo.
However, in Spanish it is often common to simply use the present tense for the same meaning. Thus ´It’s raining´can also be llueve ´We´re going´ is
usually just vamos; ´I´m going´, voy.
TO KNOW
In Spanish there are two words for ´to know´, saber ( to have a knowledge of, be aware of, be able to) and conocer ( to be acquainted with people or
places).
Do you know my brother? ¿Conoces a mi hermano?
Do you know Italy? ¿Conoces Italia?
Can you read? ¿Sabes leer?
Have you heard the latest about Amanda? ¿Sabes lo último de Amanda?

TO HAVE
The verb ´to have´ has two forms in Spanish, haber and tener.
Haber
As we have seen, haber is used as an auxiliar verb to form the present perfect tense.

Hay
One word you´ll often hear is the impersonal form of haber: hay. This is used to mean ´there is/are´, and in questions meaning ´are/is there?´ or ´do
you have…/have you,,,?
Do you have any rooms? ¿Hay habitaciones?
Do you have fresh bread? ¿Hay pan de hoy?
We don’t have any/ There isn´t any. No hay
